Neena Arora

Neena Arora is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto, Canada. She works in sculpture/installation, video and performance, and has participated in exhibitions and performance events in Toronto and throughout North America.

Exhibitions include Contemporary Art and Identity at the Baum Gallery in Arkansas. The video Shape-Shifter was originally created for the site specific installation exhibition Private Thoughts / Public Moments at the Art Gallery of Ontario. In the spring of 2001 Shape-Shifter was also included in Shaken and Stirred at Bose Pace Modern in New York, juried by Rina Banerjee and Barbara Hunt. It was also shown as part of Out Of The Box at the Queens Museum of Art in New York.

Neena was part of three Lomography events curated by Pamila Matharu: DocuLomo, Gallery TPW, Toronto in May of 2002; Flomo Ed Video in Guelph, Ontario, November 2002; and runLOMOrun at the York Quay Gallery Case Studies Vitrines, Toronto, April-June 2003. She recently participated in [ESC], Electronic Social Culture, curated by Sylvia Grace Borda and Gu Xiong at Centre A in Vancouver.

Neena has sat on the SAVAC (South Asian Visual Arts Collective) as a Board Member, resigning recently to move to the New York City area.
