Doug Kirton

Doug was born in London, Ontario in 1955. He received his BFA (1978) from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and his MFA (1994) from the University of Guelph.

In 2001 Doug joined the faculty of the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Waterloo and in 2002 he was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. Kirton’s work is represented in numerous private, corporate and public collections, including the National Gallery of Canada and the Shanghai Art Museum.

Doug lives in Waterloo, Ontario.
