1994 Central Canada Exhibition Association - Capital Agrifest Curator
Contract position responsible for the organization and curation of the Art Program Element, an art gallery displaying the works of twelve artists, who reflected the agricultural theme. Identified the artists, chose the works, organized the shipping, receiving and hanging of the display and interacted with the public for the duration of the show.
1994 Canadian Institute of Planner's 75th Anniversary Art Commission
Contract position to select an artist to create a print for the anniversary. I designed and implemented the process for the selection of the artist. With the Executive Director and a committee of the Board, shortlisted five artists who were invited to submit ideas for the print commission. Oversaw the jury's selection of one artist to produce a special limited edition of seventy-five prints. The image was also used as a six colour cover on their fully-bilingual magazine, Plan Canada.
1992-4 Reginal Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton Art Commission Advisor
Worked directly with the Arts Administration Officer for the Regional Government. Responsible, after formal Council approval, for the planning and implementation of each commission call from beginning to end. This involved designing the Expression of Interest Brochure, arranging its printing and distribution to community, receiving all artistic submissions, selecting juries, overseeing all presentations to the juries, liaisoning with the accepted artists and municipal employees during the execution and installation of the chosen art work. These responsibilities also involved frequent contact with the public and other interested parties.
1994 OUTDOOR SCULPTURE COMMISSION
- a successful project to create a temporary sculpture for display on the lawn at the then RMOC Headquarters and. As part of the development of this project, I organized a day where the five finalists' maquettes were on public display, and I was available to answer questions and explain the proposals.
1993-94 GREENBORO TRANSITWAY STATION ARTWORK
- a successfully completed project to creat a ceramic tile wall mural on the outside wall of the transitway station. I was reponsible for the coordinating of the development, execution and completion of this project, which involved liaisoning with OC/Transpo authorities, Regional employees, contractors and the artist.
1993-94 CENTRE EDUCATIF BEAUSOLEIL ART COMMISSION
- a successfully completed project for an artwork which was placed in the entrance hall of a daycare centre. Responsible for coordinating the development, execution and completion of this project which included a period during which the maquettes were on display for the parents and staff of the daycare facility. This project involved liaisoning with the artist, Regional Government's Social Services Area Manager, the daycare employees and architect.
1992-93 ROBERT O. PICKARD ENVIRONMENTAL CENTRE
- worked with Regional Manager, other officials and landscape architects to develop a vision for the Centre. Charged with identifying methods for
commissioning integreted, site-specific art. Responsible for developing a written
document defining the vison and the sites, and outlining and managing the

Curated two exhibitions sponsored by the Honourable Minister Barbara McDougall and the Status of Women to celebrate the Person's Award. The first exhibition focused on Regional women artists and the second drew from a National selection of women artists found in the Canada Council Art Bank.

This citizen committee is responsible to the City Council through the HRSS Committee and assists the Arts Division in the development of arts policy for the new amalgamated city.
1995 Chair - Canadian Conference of the Arts Expert Advisory Cttee on the Art Bank
The committee, which had national membership, consulted widely and prepared a report on the Future of the Art Bank. This report was presented to and approved by the Board of the CCA, disseminated widely and forwarded to the Canada Council's Art Bank Advisory Committee
Ottawa New City Hall Budget/Site Committee
This committee worked with Moshe Safdie and was responsible for determining the sites and budgets for the art commissions for new City Hall. It also advised on the type of project and the method of selection. I was a non-voting advisor.
1988-91 Member - Ottawa Art Gallery Advisory Committee
Advised and assisted the Director on the long-range planning and programming for the gallery. Also advised and assisted in the development of the plans for the renovations of the exhibition spaces and the development of the special requirements for gallery support and storage.

During this period I served on a variety of committees directly involved with the development of the physical aspects of the visual and performing arts centre. For example: Renovation Steering Committee and the E.R.D.A. Grant Committee.

Committee responsible for advising the City of Ottawa concerning Public Places Percent for Art Program, and the acquisition, maintenance and exhibition of the municipal art collection
1984-88 Co-Chair - Operations Committee Arts Court
Committee responsible for the development of long-range plans for the centre, oversaw the fit-up of spaces for exhibition program, co-ordinated the development of policies and procedures for the new centre and was responsible for the implementation after Board approval. Established a Program Sub-Committee to develop, present and oversee programming.
