Laurel Woodcock

wish you were here was first staged as a banner-toting plane in 2003. The colloquial phrase appeared in the skyline, beckoning viewers to a place they could not go. Woodcock employs promotional materials for non-commercial purposes, reinvesting the overused expression with new potential. Gobo lights project the phrase as fleeting images and from 7-10pm, it is available printed on helium-filled balloons, so that participants transport 'here' throughout the streets.

* Please protect wildlife - do not release your balloon. Dispose of your balloon responsibly.
