"I dream a world where man no other will scorn, where love will bless the earth, and peace its paths adorn. I dream a world where all will know sweet freedom's way, where greed no longer saps the soul, nor avarice blights our day. I dream a world where black or white, whatever race you be, will share the bounties of the earth and everyone is free; where wretchedness will hang its head, and joy, like a pearl, attend the needs of all mankind, of such I dream our world."
-Langston Hughes

In our end is our beginning. The Nathaniel Dett Chorale welcomes you to Museum for the End of the World and its presentation of I Dream A World, a performance comprised of five unique programs. The segments will showcase The Chorale's signature blend of Afrocentric choral music, spirituals, Latin and vocal jazz. The programs themes are the romantic, cautionary, prophetic and visionary voices of thinkers such as Langston Hughes, Joan Wolf Prefontaine, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Omar Khayyam, Dr. Ysaye M. Barnwell and James Weldon Johnson. The invitation is extended to evolutionary spirits everywhere to take heart to consider what is ending and what is being born, and together to dream a new world.
