Sculpture of the Inuit: Masterworks of the Canadian Arctic. This landmark exhibition, the first comprehensive presentation of Inuit Art, includes 405 works by 117 artists from prehistoric to present times. Curated by Doris Shadbolt in collaboration with George Swinton, James Houston, and Barbara Tyler, the exhibition travels to Paris, Copenhagen, Moscow, Leningrad, London, Philadelphia and Ottawa.
