Dieter Rot: Graphics and Books.

"An encyclopaedic survey of a quarter century (1947-1971) of work by one of West Germany's best known avant-garde artists, the exhibition was assembled in Holland by The Hague's Gemeentemuseum and travelled to leading European cities. The installation at the Vancouver Art Gallery is the only showing in North America."

"Graphics are stretched beyond the usual definition to include photogram, serigraph, intaglio, photo offset movable type, embossed paper, surface overlays of ink, acrylics and foodstuffs, 'pressings' and 'squashings' of plastic-covered edibles. Books are seen entirely as art objects." (Vanguard)
