Images: Stone, B.C. A landmark exhibition of 135 works of stone sculpture by west coast Indian artists covering a period of 30 centuries organized by the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.

Richard Simmins, AGGV director, conceives of the exhibition while viewing the stone sculpture Sechelt Image at the Vancouver Centennial Museum. Wilson Duff, professor of anthropology at UBC is exhibition consultant and catalogue co-author. Hilary Stewart, researcher-photographer, travels to museums and galleries throughout North America to investigate and document works.
