Barry Cogswell, Brittany Landscape. The site-specific installation consists of a large wood-and-glass structure of geometric shapes, with a strong horizontal emphasis and a hidden light source. Work is informed by cultural and spiritual antecedents - Egyptian pyramids, ancient Mayan ruins, Stonehenge. A second installation, Ethiopian Landscape, is shown concurrently at the Charles H. Scott Gallery.
