THE WINNIPEG EFFECT Moosehead Press Winnipeg Director: David Umholtz David Umholtz opened the Moosehead Press Lithography Workshop in downtown Winnipeg in 1977. Initially located in the basement of 421 McDermot Street, the workshop later re-located to 503-99 King Street. A non profit workshop devoted to the making of prints and multiples, Moosehead Press housed facilities for lithography and intaglio and was active in four areas: facility rental, classes and workshops, custom printing, and publishing.
